Carla Scott Martindale 

          Wildlife and Indian Artist           

  

             

Carla Martindale was born  in Ada, Oklahoma, April 24, 1944, to Carl Scott and Rita Webb Scott.  She grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma and graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas.  Carla died of cancer at the young age of  49.

 Carla was a self-taught artist with amazing talent.  She was selected as the Western Sportsman Association Artist of the Year, two consecutive years in 1980 and 1981, she participated in the Ducks Unlimited National Wildlife Art Shows yearly and many of her paintings and drawings were printed in national publications.  Much of her work is located in many, banks, public and government buildings and art galleries across Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas and New Mexico.

Carla was a proud member of the Choctaw Indian Tribe of Oklahoma.  Most importantly, Carla had a great devotion to her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.  Carla is greatly missed by her friends and family.
